A little about Vicki...
We have been doing workshops for more than 8 years. Vicki Stanwycks has been a commercial photographer for more than 23 years, shooting commercial advertising, aerial, models, industrial, corporate, events - people, places and things.
She also owned a Gallery on Magazine Street for a few years knowing quite well how to create all kinds of images for commercial use and for fine art.
Vicki has traveled extensively all over the United States and Europe, for commercial assignments and personally. Since 2010 she has also become a life coach and incorporates that into her classes and workshops to help you bring out the best in your images. She offers workshops and classes for individuals and small groups.
Beginning Photography 101
Very Effective for Beginners, Stanwycks Photography offers Photography Classes. Our classes cover basic photography and more advanced levels. Our classes cover the basics;

We address the things that are giving you questions and pause in your photography.
There are Basic classes to more intermediate depending on where you are in your process. for Beginners classes are generally 2 classes and if you want a 3rd for getting more familiar with the computer and editing.

Beginners Photography Workshops. You love photography and want do more than just shoot pictures from your phone. Do you want to understand photography rather than simply put your camera in Automatic or Program mode? We teach you the various functions and tools that go into digital photography.
Cameras, composition, computers and software are all the functioning elements that make up digital photography. The computer - Better known as the Digital Darkroom are touched upon...We have Workshops and individual classes. Our classes are 2 - 3 hours long and workshops can be half days or Full days.

Do you want to understand photography rather than simply put your camera in Automatic or Program mode? We teach you the various functions and tools that go into digital photography and your camera.
We will have classes, discussions about gear, situations, demonstrations and location shooting for workshops. In classes - location shooting is optional... Coaching Location shooting is necessary.
These workshops will expand your knowledge of photography so that the final result is better images for you, less frustration and knowing what to do to get the best photo possible in various situations.

We offer individual classes and small groups. Our classes are 2 - 3 hours long and workshops can be half days or Full days for the Workshops. We offer 1 to 3 classes per program and 1 and two day workshops - or more depending on what skills you want to develop.
In this beginner's class we explore your camera and the cameras functions, how to shoot in different situations and the things you should know moving forward. It sounds very basic, but it's quite in depth.
We give Assignments, critiques and discussions, and professional guidance. The assignments help us gage where you are.

Intermediate Photography Classes are for the purpose to bring your learning to the next level in photography which is to understand light, color and the direct relationships and effects each have in the creation of images.

Travel Photography Workshop Weekend or Classes
Travel photography is fun and can be approached as exciting and artful... Surely it's exciting to travel and explore... Photography gear needs to be effective and accomplish image capture while visiting unfamiliar territory.
There are language barriers with foreigner's, safety issues and inherent photographic challenges. Going to the local camera store it not so readily available and having what you need is paramount... and then the airlines come into play and how to travel effectively with your gear.

Photographing People
We offer Workshops for Shooting People groups and Model Coaching for the aspiring model from a photographers point of view. As photographer's we create images for the aspiring model and know what looks good and doesn't. We also offer one on one model mentoring to better assist and create a better understanding of the industry.
Vicki Stanwycks personally coaches and works with you to help you create your image, portfolio, comp cards and self promotional materials.
Exposure, Light & Color, Photography Classes
On - Location Photography, Working with Exposure, Color & Light
In order to create an image, we need light... We cover the basics of light and how to see, measure and track the light. This workshop is for the natural light enthusiast who respects and loves the landscape and realizes that light has many aspects from exposure and color to capture.
This class brings your photography to the Next Level. You will have better images if you understand the relationship of Light to your camera. Knowing light and how to manipulate, see and track the light will make all the difference to your images.
Anyone can shoot a picture, it's what we do with the light that makes all the difference to the quality of the image.
Photography Workflow and Digital Processing
You have shot all these images and you have to do something with them so you can work with them to make prints, organize them, and edit the images to make them look good. However, you don't know how.
You may know some of what to do, read books, watched You Tube, but it's not making a whole lot of sense - as the person in the video is talking fast.
We can help you make sense of it in our Photography workflow/Processing classes. You will have a much better understanding of the software and the terminology and "how to," get more from your images. Check out the Workflow page...
Photography Coaching
If you are into photography and want to get better at what you are trying to accomplish, there are coaching options available for you.
Coaching is great for getting you shooting faster and with someone. It's great to have someone to ask questions for the things you are unsure of. We have classes, we go on-location to shoot and we work on editing at the computer including software and techniques.
